Documented problems

Transmission 2003–2004

Honda 5-speed automatic torque converter lockup clutch judder and third-gear clutch failure — the same defect family that drove Honda's V6 automatic warranty extensions of that era. Symptoms are shudder at light throttle around 40-50 mph followed by slipping and failure.

Engine

J35 timing belt is a scheduled-replacement item (not a chain); belt or tensioner neglect on this interference engine causes catastrophic valve-to-piston contact.

Steering

Power steering pump and high-pressure hose leaks producing whine and fluid loss.
